Concept Designs Architecture is an online design service based in Wellington, New Zealand. We are a dedicated husband and wife team—Stefan and Mereana Beconcini—passionate about exceptional design. We started this business to provide quality architectural design specializing in Concepts and Feasibility Studies.
While every phase of home renovation and new construction is important, we believe that getting the Idea and Concept Design right from the start is the most critical. A well-planned and resolved design at this initial stage ensures you fully explore your project's potential, maximizing value and ensuring price certainty.
Why do we focus on concepts and feasibility studies? We love architecture and want to make bespoke design affordable. By specializing in the initial design, we can concentrate on what we love most: the creative process and visualizations that communicate ideas and the desired look and feel. We help our clients discover their visions and bring them to life.

Our Story & Experience
Stefan, originally from Chile, completed his Architecture Degree with Honours at Victoria University in Wellington. With over 20 years of experience in the New Zealand architecture industry, Stefan has worked for developers, architectural design firms, and several award-winning architecture firms. His extensive experience spans designing and documenting small to large-scale residential, high rise, commercial, hospitality, landscape and community projects. Stefan excels in detailing complex structures and producing beautiful 2D and 3D house plans, allowing anyone to visualise his architectural design concepts.
Despite his success in the industry, Stefan found himself increasingly pushed into senior management roles, which are the traditional path in architecture but limited his ability to focus on his true passion—designing architecture. This realisation led him to launch Conceptarch, a unique venture that allows him to channel his creativity and love for architecture into designing innovative concepts and ideas.
By specialising on the initial design stage, Stefan leverages his strengths to create outstanding ideas that 'wow' his clients and exceed their expectations. He finds it extremely rewarding to see clients excited about the design potential of their projects. He thrives on the one-on-one connection with clients in this small firm format, which enables him to develop a deep understanding of their aspirations and build rewarding, productive relationships. For Stefan, there is nothing more fulfilling than bringing his clients' visions to life through exceptional design.
